expand / collapseBlog:
A blog (short for weblog) is basically a journal that is available on the web. The activity of updating a blog is "blogging" and someone who keeps a blog is a "blogger." Blogs are typically updated daily using software that allows people with little or no technical background to update and maintain the blog. Use our blogs to talk about your special interests outdoor, civic, technical, it is up to you.
Bubble:
In the context of Nayburz a "bubble" is a geographic circle that you are willing to share your information or meet new people. A "bubble" can be your apartment or condo, your neighborhood, your zip code, or the entire city.
Calendar:
The Nayburz Calendar allows users to colaberate and share what is going very locally (apartment or neighborhood), just locally (zip code) or kind of locally (city)
Club:
In the context of Nayburz a "Club" is an interest group set up by one of our members meant to bring people who have similar thoughts, ideas, hobbies, civic aspirations ,etc. together. Examples of Clubs: Skiing, Hiking, Knitting, Mentoring, Pool Players, Environmental, Bar Hoppers. None of these have been created yet so feel free to start it!
Directory:
The city directory will pull up businesses in each users nayburz bubble in many different categories. Advertiser's businesses will appear first and include coupons, menus and features not found on the free directories listings. These listings will assist you in getting a most efficient way of procurring what you need.
Free Classifieds:
Nayburz classifieds are free, just like that other one out there, but they are all tied to our bubble system. Getting your item picked up or picking it up is much easier when it's in your building/neighborhood! Our Classifieds are different because they are designed to let you help members out. If someone is looking for a plumber and you have one tell them about it. Send them pics of the work they did. It's good karma!
Internet Forum:
An Internet Forum is basically an online discussion group. Online services and bulletin board services (BBS's) provide a variety of forums, in which participants with common interests can exchange open messages. Forums are sometimes called newsgroups (in the Internet world) or conferences.
Local Link Tree:
This is our way of building a local's view of the internet. We allow Denver locals to show you what sites they use. After living here for seven years I have some great links for skiing in CO while other locals know about mentoring opportunities or the latest hot spots. Why not organize all these links and put them in one place!
Local RSS feeds:
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication or Rich Site Summary. Whatever that means! Nayburz will be using local RSS feeds to add contact and information to your bubble. An example of an RSS feed might be the Denver Post or weather reports based on your zip code from the Weather Channel.
Social Networking website:
Place on the internet where people can meet online to chat, socialize, and debate. Most sites are trying to build the largest network collecting a hodge-podge of people (You know the big one: My-something or the other). Our goal is to link communities across Denver in the hopes of making everyone more interconnected.
Looking to network with people in your neighborhood. Nayburz is bringing Denver Colorado together, one neighbor at a time.
